Nationwide, we see the effects that substance abuse, addiction, and dependence have on families and workplaces When we are fully conscious and engaged in our total well-being, we can open the door to empowered decision making. This class will look at health consciousness through the lens of families, workplaces, and the broader community.
Learning Objectives
  • Define and understand health consciousness and how it relates to mental and emotional wellbeing and substance abuse.
  • Identify ways to reduce risk in families, employees, and the community by utilizing health alternatives.
  • Recognize how health consciousness can be applied to medical consumerism and how those conversations can empower and engage people in their care and wellbeing.
