Bio

I have dedicated my career to being a public servant, with a passion for community engagement and volunteer program management. My public sector journey in the Parks and Recreation field in 1994 and evolved significantly in 2005 when I immersed myself in volunteer program management. This transition allowed me to harness the power of community involvement and support, shaping my expertise. During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, my role underwent a profound transformation. I pivoted to assist Emergency Management in addressing the critical needs of our community. This experience was a turning point, teaching me to adapt my skills and knowledge to enhance community resilience. In June 2021, I transferred to Lee County Emergency Management. In Oct 2023, my position transitioned to Human Resources. My specialties encompass a diverse range of areas, including: • Volunteer Management: I have a proven track record of effectively mobilizing and coordinating volunteers, harnessing their dedication and skills to support community initiatives. • Event Coordination: I excel in orchestrating successful events that bring communities together, fostering a sense of belonging and enjoyment. • Government Expertise: My years of experience have given me a deep understanding of government operations, enabling me to navigate complex systems and advocate for community needs. • Parks and Recreation: My roots in the Parks and Recreation field have instilled in me a commitment to enhancing the quality of life in our communities through natural spaces and recreational opportunities. • Emergency Management: I have acquired valuable knowledge and skills in emergency preparedness, response, and recovery, strengthening our community's resilience in the face of adversity. I am committed to creating a positive influence in the lives of those I serve, and I continue to be enthusiastic about utilizing my skills and knowledge to make a difference.
